These are the major Gods that live in a palace in the clouds above Kalexchelan. They are the ones that protect the island. They are respected and obeyed by every citizen in Kalexchelan. The Gods are the most powerful beings on the island, and anyone who wrongs them will be punished severely.
Gods of Kalexchelan
Lougabsz
Lougabsz (LOO-jobz) is the king of the gods. He is the god of lightning, thunder, storms, clouds, and rain. His beard is made up of exactly 11 lightning bolts, which he uses for storms. Every time he rips off a bolt, a new one replaces it. As the king of the Kalexchelan gods, Lougabsz holds supreme authority over the island.
Once, Lougabsz was awoken in the middle of the night by his wife, Queen Moisettdoe, who had heard a loud crash from the palace grounds. Lougabsz stormed onto the grounds to find bandits attempting to raid the palace. The bandits were accompanied by several Giants and Tharxes. One Giant had tripped and had knocked over a shrine to Lougabsz in the yard. Furious, the god cursed the bandits to eternal torture and summoned storm winds to blow them out of the skies. They crashed into the ocean surrounding Kalexchelan and drowned, as Livestroh, god of the oceans, was instructed not to save them. When they reached the Lower World, they were sentenced to tend to the intense fires throughout the Fortress of the Dead.

Moisettdoe
Moisettdoe (moy-SET-dough) is the goddess of the sun, marriage, birth, and protection. She is also Lougabsz' wife. So, as you probably already guessed, Moisettdoe is a busy goddess. She is one of the fairer ones, though. But you still don't want to cross her. There is an old legend of a young maiden by the name of Stella Ravenflower. Stella was very vain and often claimed that she could be a better queen then Moisettdoe. Moisettdoe challenged Stella to this; Stella was to be in charge of Mt. Kalexchelan, the home of the gods, for one day. Her duties were to assist Lougabsz in every way, keep the Palace of the Gods in a clean state, send the other gods on errands, and attend and manage the afternoon War Council. If Stella managed to maintain authority for the whole day, she would be turned into a goddess and made personal assistant to Moisettdoe. Should Stella fail, however, she would suffer endless woe.
Everything was going well until the afternoon War Council. Stella refused to attend. Shrantze, god of war, and Metron, the blacksmith god, got into a heated argument, leading to an escalated fight between everyone else. Lougabsz lost his temper, which led to a huge thunderstorm over the island. Upon Moisettdoe's return to the palace, she noticed that the other Gods were in complete disarray and that Stella wasn't there. She searched the rest of the palace, and she found Stella robbing the palace kitchens. Furious, she cast a spell on the girl. Stella became a rabid beast, with a hairy body, hooves, horns, a spiky tail, and a mouth full of rotten and spiky teeth. This monster was forced to roam Kalexchelan alone forever. She was declared a Morph, and she was imprisoned in the Forbidden Forest.

Livestroh
Livestroh (lee-VESS-troh), is the god of water, rivers, and oceans. He is Lougabasz' younger brother. He has incredible strength, and splashes on the surface of the water with his long, mucular arms, sending 30-foot waves into the air. Sometimes, he works together with Lougabsz to attack the island with powerful and devastating storms. If Livestroh is happy, you can expect peaceful waters and calm waves. If he is angered or upset, there are terrible waves, whirlpools, and even waterspouts. These storms demolish the shores of the island. He also creates the magic waterfall that marks the entrance and exit of the island. The crystal boat uses this waterfall to travel to and from the island.
As bad as Livestroh's storms are, the worst storms are those that occur when he and his brother Lougabsz argue. Both gods have massive tempers, and the worst of their worlds come forth during these times. Lightning flashes and rain floods the island as waves crash onto the shores. These storms often last for hours.

Subad
Subad (SOO-bahd) is the god of the Lower World, death, and spirits. He is Lougabsz' eldest brother. Ruler of the Lower World, Subad resides in the Fortress of the Dead. The Fortress is one made of stone and black iron, with force fields making entrance by mortals, and the escape of spirits, impossible. When citizens of Kalexchelan die, the go down to the Lower World and stay there for eternity. Those who performed good deeds in life are welcomed with comfort and luxury, and spend all eternity in peace. Others, like criminals, are sent to Subad's fortress and are forced to slave for Subad, cook his food, and clean up after him.
Metron
Metron (MEE-tron) is the blacksmith god. He is the son of Subad and the younger brother of the jealous and cruel war god, Shrantzse. Subad tought Metron how to collect build items out of metal. Metron designs necklaces, rings, bracelets, and even a gold tiara with genuine pearls for Flohour, the love goddess. Metron is also the god of volcanoes. He caused the eruption of Mt. Levelad. He provides lava to the Lake of Fire and controls the peaceful flame of the Royal Fire at the Palace of the Gods.
Shrantzse
Shrantzse (shrants-SAY) is the god of war. He is the son of Subad, king of the Lower World. He is the older brother of Metron. Shrantze is extremely jealous of Metron, as he is Subad's favorite son, and generally more adored by the people of Kalexchelan and by the other gods. His favorite color is blood red. He rarely gets hurt in battle, but sometimes he does. Then, he just flicks his sword, points the tip at the wound, says an incantation, and is instantly healed. He despises Moisettdoe, Flohour, goddess of love, and Greda, goddess of wisdom. All three goddesses return the feeling, as they all feel that he is disgusting and cruel.
Flohour
Flohour (FLOW-hor) is the goddess of love, peace, and beauty. Her favorite color is hot pink. She appeared out of sea foam several weeks after Kalexchelan exploded in space and became insulated on Earth. Queen Moisettdoe was on the shore and saw Flohour floating in a cloud of mist towards the island. She brought Flohour to the Palace of the Gods. Flohour was formally declared as a goddess. She has golden hair, soft, pale skin, and silver eyes. She always dresses in a gold tiara and glowing, white pearls, made by Metron, and long, flowing robes and dresses of pink and purple. She wears perfect makeup and carries a heart-shaped purse. She is beautiful.
Greda
Greda (GRAY-duh) is the goddess of intelligence, wisdom, and direction. She is always trying to force her father, Lougabsz, to make Flohour stop forcing love between humans on Kalexchelan, but he never listens. Her worst enemy is Shrantzse, god of war. She despises the idea of war and hates that he Shrantzse is always attending meetings covered in blood. Her logical mind prevents her from seeing war as a viable option to resolve a conflict. Instead, she relies on her own reasoning, rational mind, common sense, and wits to reach a peaceful end. Greda is a very composed goddess. She has grey hair pulled in a tight bun. Greda dresses in formal grey robes with white lace cuffs. She has piercing grey eyes and glasses. She also wears a necklace with a single black jewel on the end, given to her by Metron.
Ceestara
Ceestara (see-a-STAR-ah) is the goddess of the rainbow. The seven colors of the rainbow come from her dress. After it rains, the sky is dirty, so Ceestara must go across the sky to clean it. A rainbow is really Ceestara in her dress, running across the sky, cleaning the heavens for Lougabsz and Moisettdoe. Ceestara is also the goddess of hope. If she has pity on a sick or injured mortal, she sprinkles the Dust of Wellness and Grace on the patient and directs the doctor or any other assisstant to the patient to help cure them. Ceestara also is the personal assistant of Moisettdoe. As the rainbow goddess, Ceestara is required to serve the goddess of the sun, Queen Moisettdoe. Ceestara is not only Moisettdoe's servant, but her close friend. They often work in hand to maintain peace in the Palace of the Gods.
